KRUPP screw press maintenance

The screw press is the tool usually used for crushing sunflower and rapeseed seeds.

It consists of a protective cage with SW75 diameter screws, with an auger placed inside, whose slow and continuous motion favors the transport of seeds towards the discharge. This stainless steel auger is equipped with a conical shaft whose diameter increases towards the discharge so that the useful volume between the coils of the auger and the cage decreases progressively, causing an increasing mechanical pressing of the panel.

Maintenance is carried out using a K1600 hydraulic impact wrench powered by a 7 HP - STP70  hydraulic power unit.
